IRC Guide - X-Chat 2 for Windows Users.

Hey there my dear AxG's =)
Today I'm gonna write a X-Chat 2 guide for you guys, cause its really helpfull if you need to get fast in contact with someone without forum or Nexuiz.
NOTE:This IRC client is only for Windows users.

First of all, you go Download X-Chat 2.

After you downloaded it, you open the file, and install X-Chat 2.
Done?
Open X-Chat 2 and you will see a Network List.
Fill in all 5 stats, search in the networklist for Quakenet
(NOTE: This is very important, in case you choose another server, and you join the channels of Quakenet, it wont work!!!!) and click it.
As little help here is mine:


After that you've done this, you go to the "Edit" button:



And do it like this:

What i circled with red, that you have to click.
About the favorite channels, if you want you guys only have to do this:
#exile.nexuiz,#axg,#axg.ctf,#axg.team

Now you go back to your network list and click on Connect.

To get admin status on the IRC channels of AxG, you have to Authentify yourself by Q.

Change your nickname with /nick YOURPREFEREDNICK.
Join a channel with /join CHANNELNAME.
Quit a channel with /part CHANNELNAME.
Do a /e action:
/me slaps Essiance will be shown as: * Alan-AxG slaps Essiance

I´m a Mac user - and i don´t know anything of IRC stuff x)

have you got anything similar to that?
i know there is xfire for windows. is there any chat like that where you can also save your stats meaning scores etc from the game for mac?

how are you using adium?
im using adium for msn myspace fb chat.
but on irc once your connected with quakenet how do you enter chat rooms or start a conversation? i tried it cause im curious but i only see my msn contacts and nothing else opens :S

enlight me please :D

i use IRC with opera.
it has an own chat function... (menu - chat)
it's also easy to handle.
just try it out;D

We talked about that already, and I know the fault.

The best server name to pick is irc.quakenet.org
I use that server too, but not in XChat anymore, I use Irssi, kind of an irc-in-shell-client.
