Xonotic 0.5 has been released

P.S. For the racers here: you can't see the XPM server if you have the 0.1 version. You will have about two times more servers with this version, including the race server.

Of course it looks amazing! All Nexuiz developers (except Akari then,) are now working for Xonotic. I really don't understand why people still play Nexuiz. Very nice to hear such positive reactions, Nooby!

And since this new release, there finally enough people online to really be able to play.

Awesome if you ask me, but especially smooth, really smooth.

But just try it out yourself! But play minsta online on Exile server. Xonotic default minsta sux, just like Nexuiz default minsta

And the weapon gameplay is just totally amazing!

The gameplay is smooth, indeed, which REALLY surprised me. The only that bugs me now are black maps. Tons of.

I played in eXiLe ctf, which worked well on geit-ctf. Lostspace2 after it, and it doesn't work anymore.
I imported Lostspace2 twice yesterday, MANUALLY, and it still doesn't work.

My conclusion is: Xonotic sucks.

Not Xonotic is the problem. It works fine, believe me.

But you said imported. Did you copy maps from Nexuiz to Xonotic? That does NOT work. You need to download the maps from the server. I hear nobody else about black maps, so I think it is your fault.

Like I see this, YOU don't understand. At FIRST I downloaded the maps from the server and THAT didn't work. I am sure that I know what to do, because this was once told to me.

LOL. I dont have those problems with my xonotic 0.5. All maps running all the time. Dont know why it doesnt runs Asgar.

I found out why. And I can tell you it's FUCKING BULLSHIT. My maps get black because I use r_showsurfaces 3. Somehow it makes the maps black, and when I use Color Depth: 16 it doesn't even work either. Thanks to the developers for ruining some big shit that looked good and which I maybe wanted to start playing.

That's not true lol. You can download maps right away on the internet and put them in the directory. Surely you haven't heard of that.

Oh, yes, I know you can get them from the internet, but I thought you copied them from your Nexuiz dlcache to Xonotic. I surely did hear of that

But what does r_showsurfaces 3 do? There must be some reason that it is disabled.

It reduces the textures to a really low level. It doesn't even show textures, if you ask me. It is really helpfull for people who have bad computers to play Nexuiz with.

I think there will be soon a version with 0.5.

Akari ain't having fun to work on a 0.5 DSX nor does he have the time. He is studying like shit and is tired. So don't expect a new release from him soon. Maybe the developers should work then.
